End!!!!!

The semester is overr! im so happy and almost have my three projects done! im super happy about one of my vases that i carved and it looks great! Im rebuilding another and i hope it turns out good as well, but we'll see. I can't wait to meet blake michael burnham too! For my next couple projects id like to build multi piece pieces and challenge myself a little more..as well and build even bigger pieces!

I was super happy about the project i've been making. I have one vase pretty much done, with the design carved in, and i LOVE it. It's one of my favorites so far. As for my second...I made which was my favorite, a super big vase..but i was very stupid and it completely collapsed. I was about to fire the vase collapsed, but decided to start another. I hope to have my projects ready on the deadline :/ ....we'll see.

im so so soooo happy for amy and her baby blake! i cant wait to go visit her, anyone down?

umm....

For the past like four class periods i have done NOTHING, except stare at my vase and get frustrated. I really need to start working and getting two projects done before the end of the month. I have two that I'm excited to make, I hope they turn out better and better. I need to glaze my vases before i fire them this time and hopefully the painting process wont be such a struggle anymore. I have three vases that i am pit firing and I'm excited to see how they turn out. Another vase i have I am in the midst of painting and I'm nervous to see how it goes. At this point I am just practicing and need to not take it so seriously until i really figure out what i want to do.

I loooved making amy cry today when we gave her her gift..it was sooo cute :)    im so glad she liked it! im going to miss her tons and tons and tons.

good thing my class will help me :) 

for my next piece i want to make a super large and short bowl like vase with a tiny whole at the top.

Coming back today and being really tired from the time change from maui was super hard. I'm nervous for Amy to leave because I won't have anyone to talk to when I freak out, but our new teacher seems cool. I'm excited to see how things will go and if anything will change. I started painting my first vase and I have no idea what I'm doing, I need to do a lot of experimenting. I'm almost thinking about changing the painting part because I can't paint, but I don't want to give up so we will see how it goes...Being in Maui was super fun, I went to Hana, which is this crazy road with water falls and a big hike. Along the hike I wanted to make sooo many nature sculptures, there was a lot of cool nature that we don't have and it would have been fun to see what I made.

I have made four vases and I am more than caught up! I am beginning to worry about painting on the vases, I am not sure how it will go, but I'm hoping for the best. I'm also excited for our christmas party and critique; the year is flying by. I am not excited at all for when Amy leaves, I have no idea what I will do when she's gone because I ask way too many questions.  I took pictures of two of my vases, my favorite is the larger one. I am getting tons faster and better at making coils; I'm not sure if I would like all of my vases to be built out of coils because I LOVE the idea of throwing, but I would need to practice a ton to do that.

Taking my project's home ended up not being the best idea. One vase almost snapped on my way home from school and the other fell on my way back. Now I have three vases done and another that I hope to have done by Friday! I've been stressing tons for no reason, but now I am feeling a lot better. I need to remember to take pictures of my work for my blog though because I hate just taking random pictures off of google. I've spent a lot of time at the pub. lib. and found another book on hand building, especially coiling and it has helped a lot. My coils have gotten better and I have become much more efficient with them, its cool to see my progress.
