re-building..FML

So last time i blogged i thought i was so close to being done and i was thrilled. Then i decided i hated two of my projects so much, and they were cracked, so i'm rebuilding three! i'm trying to build these three in a matter of 2 and half days..which with coils, is pretty much impossible. They quite possibly are some of the worst i've made but by this point its the deadline i have to worry about. Once all this bs is over i want to start enjoying art and making fun stuff :)

I am really worried about how much I still have to do since the showcase is coming up so quickly;  however I'm getting really close! I slipped and painted on a design, it took all four periods to do and lunch...it was a long day to say the least. I love my vase though, and it seems a ton of people like the design so I'm happy. I need to finish handles on my last vase, slip and design it, then I will be done building! I need to glaze two vases and barrel fire three. Once everything is fired and done, I can't wait, I'm going to be so happy!

this week has been really nice but nothing really has been going on. I am almost finished with two amphoras then all i have to do is glaze. I have A TON of pieces to glaze though, im nervous because i don't have a lot of time but i think everything will turn out great. The janitor yelled at some art students and max and i yesterday, he scares me. however, i'm still going to stay in after school :)    I'm really excited for the field trip as well. I plan on coming in on friday, saturday and sunday to work on my things.

palm springs.

I'm leaving two vases while i leave for palm springs till monday night. I really hope they do not dry up so i can finish them when i get back. With those two pieces, all i have to do is finish some glazing and my portfolio will be done! I have to use some shitty pieces I don't like, but whatever, I guess it will show my progress or something. Wish my luck -_-

extra cred

Today I made some jewelry with Lexie! I made two pairs of earings, a pendent for a necklace and a ring. I really hope at least three of the things count for my breadth. With the jewelry my breadth section is done! I am finishing carving my green vase today and finished a coil vase yesterday. Now if I can make two amphoras by the end of break I will almost have my concentration done! I hope to make two and another one or two in the beginning of April.

spring break=amphoras!

I've decided that over spring break I'm going to try and build two to three amphoras.I have started another coil vase, with the coils out, and i hope it turns out great. I'm also going to make three pieces of jewelery to finish my breadth section. I painted a vase green which so far I'm not too sure how I like it. My blue vase turned out really cool, however I wish that the blue was darker. My short, circle vase turned out amazing with the glaze; I'm super happy about that. I hope that my portfolio comes together in April and my concentration all ties together!

AHHHH

I am a mess as of today. I think I've ruined one vase and I don't like the other. I am terrified for portfolios and I need to make more vases.
